Travel Agents to Compete for Preview Spots on U by Uniworld
Uniworld invites travel agents to to win a spot on a preview sailing of the company’s new river cruise brand for millennials, U by Uniworld.
To enter the Facebook contest, agents must be between the ages of 21 and 45 (the same age group as U’s target market). They must create and post a 30-second video, tagged #I’mGonnaSellU–and demonstrating how they will sell the product–to the U by Uniworld Facebook page.
Entries will be accepted through August 15th. From those entries that receive the most likes on Facebook, a Uniworld advisory board will vote for the winners. The voting will take place August 16th through August 22nd; the the winners will be announced on August 23rd. Selected content will be featured on the brand’s website .
The preview sailing, a roundtrip cruise from Paris, will take place October 7th-11th.
Ellen Bettridge, President & CEO of Uniworld, said the decision to host a contest versus hosting a traditional familiarization trip was because the line did not have the space “to accommodate the tremendous enthusiasm for our exciting new brand. Instead, we’ve decided to add to the fun by giving motivated agents the chance to win their spot on our special, preview sailing.”
